Domino Pizza's sold £20.1 million (&euro 30 million) online during 2006. Its e-commerce orders were the fastest growing channel to
market and attracted record numbers of new customers as well as delivering an average
ticket value that is typically 25% higher than orders placed by phone. E-commerce sales
grew by 43.8% in 2006 in the UK
Domino is also preparing its mobile ecommerce platform. It expects text message orders will also drive sales growth in the future, as the coming teenage demographic use always-on broadband and text rather than voice phones.
